When we first heard about the term NFT (non fungible token) during 2020, we went through several states: pleasantly surprised by how it worked and frustrated that we hadn't discovered it sooner.
A little reminder about NFT:
NFTs have exciting new properties: they’re unique, provably scarce, tradeable, and usable across multiple applications. Just like physical goods, you can do whatever you want with them! You could throw them in the trash, gift them to a friend across the world, or go sell them on an open marketplace. But unlike physical goods, they're armed with all the programmability of digital assets. We also wrote an article on what is an NFT?and its innovative properties.
Why we created flow-nft?
After buying and trading our first NFTs, we asked ourselves a question. What is the boundary between the unique digital work and the unique physical work? It depends on the author. When we wanted to offer an NFT to a friend for his birthday, and instead of presenting him the phone and saying "oh here's your NFT", the idea of flownft was already created and we gave him a frame worthy of the name, which he can now display on the wall in his living room.
